Worry Poems
Hello God
Hello God, I called tonight
To talk a little while..
I need a friend who'll listen
To my anxiety and trial...
You see, I can't quite make it
Though a day just on my own...
I need your love to guide me,
So I'll never feel alone.
I want to ask you please to keep,
My family safe and sound.
Come and fill their lives with confidence
For whatever fate they're bound.
Give me faith, dear God, to face
Each hour throughout the day,
And not to worry over things
I can't change in any way.
I thank you God, for being home
And listening to my call,
For giving me such good advice
When I stumble and fall.
Your number, God, is the only one
That answers every time.
I never get a busy signal,
Never had to pay a dime.
So thank you, God, for listening
To my troubles and my sorrow.
Good night, God, I love You, too,
And I'll call again tomorrow!

I Threw Out...
Last week I threw out Worrying,
It was getting old and in the way.
It kept me from being me;
I couldn't do things my way.
I threw out those Inhibitions;
They were just crowding me out.
Made room for my New Growth,
Got rid of my old dreams and doubts.
I threw out a book on My Past
(didn't have time to read it anyway)
Replaced it with New Goals,
Started reading it today.
I threw out childhood toys
Remember how I treasured them so?
Got me a new Philosophy too,
Threw out the one from long ago
Brought in some new books too,
Called I Can, I Will, and I Must.
Threw out I might, I think and I ought.
Wow! You should've seen the dust.
I picked up this special thing
And placed it at the front door.
I Found It -- its called Peace
Nothing gets me down anymore.
Yes, I've got my house looking nice.
Looks good around the place
For things like Worry and Trouble
There just isn't any place.
Its good to do a little house cleaning,
Get rid of the old things on the shelf.
It sure makes things brighter
Thank you God for cleaning up my-self.

I Will Not Worry
I will not worry I will not doubt, God knows the problem and
He will work it out.
God knew the circumstances before they began, and He holds
this precious baby in His hand.
I know my God is able to provide all we require, so I shall
continue lifting praises higher and higher.
God is so loving, gracious and kind, and He places within me
such perfect "Peace of mind".
I shall not get discouraged nor give in to doubt, I trust in
God and I know He'll work it out.
Nothing at all is impossible for God, so why I used to worry
about things now seems so very odd.
God not only provided for my eternal salvation, but kept
beckoning me in till I grasped the revelation.
Then upon acceptance He began changing me inside, the work
done by Him least I be guilty of pride.
He forgave me of sin and taught me to trust, teaching me
daily surrender is an absolute must.
As long as I remember to surrender each day, He keeps all my
actions and reactions totally at bay.
No I will not worry I'll trust in my Heavenly Father, to do
any different would make life so much harder.

When You Worry
Dear Child of mine' you've been on my mind and heart for so long. I see you struggling and planning, worrying and sweating, crying and running around in circles at a furious pace.
I see you're trying to move those mountains by yourself again.
I asked that you cast all your cares on Me because I care about you.
Think about what your worrying says to Me; because I care about you.
Think about what your worrying says to Me; when you refuse to give things over to Me.
When you worry about money, you're telling me that I am unable to provide for My children. That although I have riches beyond your wildest imaginations in Heaven; that I am unwilling to share them with you.
When you worry that no one understands you, you're telling Me that even though I have been with you since before you were formed in the womb; and have carved you with the palm of My hand, that I do not know you.
When you worry that you will not have enough food; that although I rained down bread from heaven to feed my children in the desert; divided the loaves and the fishes; that I have forgotten you.
When you worry that your enemies have victory over you, you're telling Me that although I have given you spiritual battle gear to wear to defend yourself, that despite My track record of being a Giant Slayer, Red Sea divider, Lion Mouth Closer, and a Furnace Cooler, that I can't handle your home; your family; your neighbor, or friends.
When you worry that you won't be able to do enough to earn forgiveness, you're telling My Father, there's no need for Me to die, I can earn my own forgiveness. Let's just act like I never died, tell Me never mind I didn't need to go to the cross.
When you worry that no one will love you, that you'll be lonely for the rest of your life, you're telling Me that My love is insufficient. That I couldn't possibly love you enough to ward away loneliness. You're saying that although I have promised life more abundantly, I am being untruthful.
When you worry and refuse to give the problem over to me, you're telling Me that even though My Father created the world, He can't handle what's going on in your world.
When you worry My Child you are saying that I can't work things out for you.
That obstacles cannot be overcome.
That mountains cannot be climbed.
That healing cannot occur.
That what is lost will not be found.
That joy does not come in the morning.
That My Father is not the God of a second chance.
That the promised land has been swallowed up by the desert.
That you have discovered the height, depth and width of
My love and found it to fall short of your needs.
Think about all that you're saying to the one who loves you the most and who has all power. I want you to really think about it! Then open your hands and release what you've been holding on to... to Me. Bow down on your knees and ask Me to forgive you for doubting Me.
Walk away with a peaceful heart and note the footsteps that go before you to make the crooked places straight, a way in the wilderness and water spring forth in the desert are Mine.
"Do not fear My Child, for I am with you always. Do not anxiously look about you, for I am here. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you. Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." ~Isaiah 41:10~
My Child; stand in a stream with waters around your ankles. The waters that you see pass by you at that moment are gone. So it is with the miseries that have challenged your life. Let it go... let it pass away.
My Child; I am here with you now, and I will always be.
Just let go, and let Me be Me.

Whose Hands
A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Lebron James's hands is worth over $100 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Alex Rodriquez's hands is worth $30 million.
It depends on whose hands it's in.
A tennis racket is a just a toy in my hands.
A tennis racket in Venus William's hands is a championship.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A rod in my hands will keep away a wild animal.
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A sling shot in my hands is a kid's toy.
A sling shot in David's hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hands it's in.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in God's hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it's in.
Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it's in.
So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes,
your dreams, your families and your relationships in God's hands because...
It depends on whose hands it's in.
